Caution: Moxa should be only administered under the direction or supervision of a qualified practitioner. Do not leave patient unattended during any moxa use. Always ignite indirect stick-on moxa first and then apply to the point. Remove moxa immediately if the heat becomes uncomfortable. If used incorrectly, can be damaging, skin redness or a small blister may appear. Protective shield (aluminum foil) must be used to protect the skin from loose moxa ash.
