Peter Firebrace studierte am "International College of Oriental Medicine, UK", welches er später leitete. Danach studierte er an der "European School of Acupuncture" in Paris, sowie klassische chinesische Sprache und Literatur am Ricci Institut. Er praktiziert Akupunktur seit 1980.

Peter Firebrace hat sich spezialisiert auf die Erforschung von chinesischer Philosophie und medizinischen Traditionen und beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, inwieweit deren traditionelles Wissen auf die moderne Welt angewendet werden kann.

Er lehrt nun intensiv an verschiedenen Schulen und Organisationen in Europa und ist Mitbegründer des Verlags Monkey Press, welcher Chinesische Medizin aus den "Classic series" publiziert.


Peter Firebrace holds a Bachelor of Acupuncture degree having first studied at The International College of Oriental Medicine UK (1980-83) and then at the European School of Acupuncture, Paris.
He studied classical Chinese Language and Literature with the Ricci Institute, Paris and has specialised in research into the Chinese philosophical and medical classics and on how the depth of this traditional knowledge can be applied in the modern world.
He was principal of The International College of Oriental Medicine (1985-1990) and now teaches extensively at colleges and associations in Europe: He has been practising acupuncture in central London since 1980 and is co-founder of the Monkey Press which publishes the Chinese Medicine from the Classics series.

He is co-author of A Guide to Acupuncture and a member of the British Acupuncture Council
